Dr. Leigh Monahan
Research scientist
Leigh is an experienced research scientist with expertise in the development of novel DNA sequencing approaches for various applications including functional genomics and metagenomics.
He is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the ithree institute, University of Technology Sydney. With more than 10 years’ experience in molecular biology and microbiology, Leigh is an expert in the use of advanced molecular tools (molecular genetics, fluorescence microscopy and protein chemistry) which he has applied to uncover fundamental aspects of microbial physiology and antibiotic resistance.
Leigh holds a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Technology Sydney.
