Aaron Statham
Bioinformatics engineer
Aaron is a bioinformatics software engineer, with expertise in designing large scale cloud computing analysis pipelines and development of clinically accredited next-generation sequencing diagnostic tests.
He spent over a decade in cancer epigenetics research, developing DNA-modification based diagnostic and prognostic markers for breast, prostate and colon cancer. Moving to industry he become the Chief Bioinformatics Officer of Genome.One, where he oversaw the clinical validation of the first human whole genome sequencing diagnostic test in the southern hemisphere and its deployment into the Australian healthcare system.
Aaron has a Bachelor of Science in molecular biology and genetics from the University of Sydney.
